Make a Contribution
Since 1989 The Nassau County Museum of Art has presented world-class exhibitions and stellar public and
educational programming to Long Island communities. We need your
support to continue this tradition of excellence!
Your contribution is 100% tax deductible
and will support programming for children, exhibitions, family
related events and a Capital Campaign dedicated to funding the
construction the Museum's new extension. Please support your
Museum and know that every dollar is an investment in the future
of your community.
Here are just a few of the many wonderful reasons to
contribute to the Nassau County Museum of Art:
- Named one of the top ten museums
in the New York Metropolitan area by Newsday
- Named Long Islands Best Museum by
LI Press
- Named one
of 12 of the most extraordinary Museums in New York State by
Former Governor Pataki
- Over 225,000 visitors attend the
Museum every year - a figure that grows exponentially
- More than 30,000 students participate
in Museum Education Programs throughout the school year
- Outreach programs are provided to
local public libraries, senior centers, assisted living
facilities, universities and hospitals.
- The Museum is completely handicap
accessible with a new outdoor ramp and elevator in the
main building.
- Fun indoors and out, the Museum
features an Outdoor Sculpture Garden - the largest in the
northeast - with works by Alexander Calder, Fernando Botero,
Chaim Gross, Red Grooms, Richard Serra, Mark di Suvero, Tom Otterness and many others.
We are continually adding to the outstanding collection thanks to purchases made by
the Museums own Contemporary Collectors Circle and the
generous long term loans of patrons and galleries.
- Natural Landscape is something
that makes the Museum such a special place. There is plenty to
experience on the 145 acre property.
Visit the Formal Gardens, originally designed by Marian Cruger Coffin
and restored to their original splendor. Walk any one of
the nine Nature Trails or explore the historic Pinetum which
boasts many spectacular trees including two Sequoias - the
largest of their kind on the east coast!
Yes! I want to contribute to the Nassau County Museum of Art
and invest in the future of my entire community!
