With the chance for exploring the fresh air of our forests and trails paired with devoted studio time in our Manes Education Center, Art Lab artists will create unique works of art in a memorable summer experience.

Our teaching artist and museum educator makes sure to adapt experiences based on age, and encourages students to explore a variety of new materials, techniques and processes to challenge and engage.

High School students develop college art portfolios with group and individual instruction. Focus on the elements and principles of art and design through application to individual students’ work, along with conversations about the work on view in our galleries. Participants work from live models* and still life in a variety of traditional art materials, participate in critique sessions and portfolio reviews under the guidance and support of a skilled artist, college educator, and college admissions associate. * may include model nudity.
